Truck done!

Finished buttoning up the truck’s repairs on Saturday. Monday I picked up the flywheel from the machine shop, and after work Kris and Mike came over to help me reinstall the transmission. Everything went smooth and the truck was driveable right away. All I had left to do was install a new seal I was waiting on from ebay and make some covers for the access holes I made in the floorboard. I got those 2 things done Saturday.
Here’s the new seal. This goes on top of the trans, where the gear shifter is.

Here’s the access holes I made in the floorboard to get to the bolts in the frame and the covers I made for them. I just sealed the covers down with a tar type sealant, nothing permanent. That way if I ever need to get to them again:

Ordered up a new battery for the MR2. It’s long overdue for a new one. I got an Odyssey drycell battery. One of the good things about it, is it is able to hold a charge for 2 years whereas a normal car battery needs charging every 6-8 weeks. I guess I’ll install it next weekend. Below is a pic of the setup I purchased:

Played some poker Saturday night. Won a solid $4. Yeah that’s right, high roller here. Didn’t do much else during the weekend. Ah well, time for bed before another week of work. Fun times.
