Truck Repairs

So, I was leaving work Friday before last, and as I pulled out of my parking spot, I couldn’t get the truck into gear. Dang it! Looked in the clutch fluid reservoir and it was empty. Luckily I topped it off, pumped the clutch pedal and was able to get it home. Ends up the slave cylinder is shot, and to change it, you have to remove the transmission. Grrr, oh well, if that’s the case, may as well do everything in there while I have it out. So, I gave myself a week to do some research and to get all the parts. I started wrenching on it yesterday after work. I got everything ready, and then this morning Mark came over to help muscle the transmission out.

Everything went well. I took the flywheel to the machine shop to get turned around 11. So i went to run some errands, grabbed some lunch, then came home to replace the oil pan. Before I knew it it was 3, so I hustled down to the machine shop, but it was too late. They had closed at 1, and they are closed on Sundays. So, I guess I get tomorrow off… Anyhow, check out the pics I posted if you are bored: Click here.
